How to drive more traffic to your website?
By Nick | March 22, 2007
My first question to you is. How on earth do you get more traffic to your website? What actions do you take to get more people to visit your site? This is what I have done so far:
- I have created an informative website Rails Hosting Info, which should make it easier for people to find a Rails hosting company
- I have announced the site on the two biggest ROR forums
- I have helped people on these forums, each time I included my signature in the posts
- I have submitted my website to Digg, although I have to admit it would be better if somebody else had submitted it
- I have contacted all the companies that are on the site, to let them know they are on the one and only Rails hosting comparison site
- all the pages have a good position on Google
- I even started a blog
If you know of other good means to attract more visitors, please post your comments. Thanks.
